The PHS-Direct + team has over 30 years experience within the Veterinary profession. We want to use our skills and knowledge to help YOU and your PET live a happier and healthier life! Our Philosophy is to provide helpful, friendly, approachable advice when you most need it. We support pet owner’s and veterinary practices throughout the UK. We do not intend to replace your Veterinary Surgeon, or make a diagnosis for you. However, there may be times when you require independent professional advice. We at PHS-Direct+ are proud to support the Veterinary profession.
Established in 2009 PHS Direct has become one of the UK’s leading home pet care services giving pet owners help and peace of mind when their vet is closed.
The whole concept for PHS was originally developed by Vet Tim Watson, in conjunction with Animals at Home. Tim realised that pet owners often needed guidance and re-assurance when their vet was closed; helping them to decide what was best for their pet.
Today, Tim still works full time in his practice on the Isle of Wight and continues to support and add his expertise to develop PHS Direct. The fact that Tim’s own practice uses PHS to support their emergency services bears testimony to Tim’s commitment to PHS and the value of the service offered to pet owners across the UK.
Now Veterinary Nurse and Managing Director; Hannah Burge, manages a dedicated team of veterinary professionals to deliver a service that ensures all pet owners can gain rapid access to professional pet care advice when they need it. As you would expect, all PHS-Direct nurses are RCVS qualified and Registered, many having already worked within emergency referral centres.
